TRAVELLING TO THE EPICENTRE BY ROAD FROM WEST LONDON & THE SOUTH EAST (VIA M4)   M4 West to Junction 13 (A34) (approx 30 minutes from M25 Junction) A34 North (direction Didcot and Oxford) (dual carriageway) about 8 miles further, take left slip onto A4185 (sign to Wantage) about 2 miles further, turn left onto A417 to Wantage Through Wantage, round the market square, staying on A417, towards Faringdon Stanford in the Vale is about 5 miles north west of Wantage on the A417 On seeing Stanford in the Vale village sign, slow down Take first turning right (opposite Kia garage/filling station) into High Street We are in the two white gates to the right of the first house (Bear House) on the left. Note the oval brass/black sign "68" on right gatepost. Park in courtyard. If you have gone as far as Spencer Close (the first small road on the left, behind the barn) you have already gone too far!
