TRAVELLING TO THE EPICENTRE BY ROAD FROM NORTH LONDON (VIA M40)   M40 North West to Junction 8 (A40) (care - this junction is less than 1 mile after Junction 7) A40 (direction Oxford) (dual carriageway) 6 miles further, at Headington roundabout, take first exit left onto Ring Road A4142 continue past Rover and at second roundabout, continue on Ring Road (3rd exit) A423 after 5.3 miles on Ring Road, at fourth roundabout (Junction A34), take second exit: Wooton after 0.7 mile up hill, after SLOW sign on road, get into right hand lane, take right: Boars Hill after 2.2 miles, at T junction by Shell filling station, turn right onto B4017: Wootton after 0.6 mile, fork left, signposted: Besselsleigh after 1.1 mile, turn left onto A420: Swindon, Bristol after 6 miles along A420, take left onto B4508 (sign to Stanford in the Vale) After a further 2.4 miles watch out for sign to Stanford in the Vale and take left onto side road as main road bends right. Go through the village of Stanford in the Vale (past two village greens) When you see Kia garage/filling station ahead at the T-junction, turn right through the two white gates to the right of the last house (Bear House) on the right. (This is just before the "give way" and derestriction signs.) Note the oval brass/black sign "68" on right gatepost. Park in courtyard. You have arrived.
